SMS Messaging & Opt-In

Last updated: October 2026

ReviewAsk helps service businesses ask their customers for a review after a job is done. This page explains how our text messages work. Text-message requests are rolling out gradually; email requests are available to all accounts today.

What we send

After a business completes a job, ReviewAsk may send that customer a text on the business's behalf asking them to leave a review, plus at most one follow-up reminder. Messages identify the business, for example: “Acme Plumbing via ReviewAsk: Thanks for choosing us! Mind leaving a quick review? [link] Reply STOP to opt out.”

Who gets texts

Only customers who gave their mobile number to that business for the job. We never buy, rent, or share phone lists, and we don't send marketing texts.

How consent is collected

The business gets the customer's permission before ReviewAsk sends anything — either verbally when booking or during the job, or in writing (such as a booking form, estimate, or invoice). Businesses agree to our Terms, which require this consent before adding a customer.

Frequency & cost

Message frequency varies (typically 1–2 messages per completed job). Message and data rates may apply.

Opting out & help

Reply STOP at any time to stop texts — you'll get one confirmation and nothing more. Reply HELP for help, or email support@getreviewask.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and opt-in information are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
